Spectators: 7281 (Terracing: 5463, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zé de Almeida made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernani Berger during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Zé de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perivaldo de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Tavares in the 6th minute of play. Ernani Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Lago having to interfere. Ernani Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luiz Fábio Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, CORMERCIAL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Mello to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Benjamin Corrêa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perivaldo de Queiroz skillfully saved the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prego's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leandro Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo de Queiroz having to interfere. Gonçalo Vasconcelos took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fábio Lago. Luiz Fábio Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luiz Fábio Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonçalo Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes, Dedê de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Prego and the CORMERCIAL FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Prego getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Dedê de Brito hit a great ball. If Gonçalo Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonçalo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Luiz Fábio Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonçalo Vasconcelos made a kick off. If Ernani Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CORMERCIAL FC's Gonçalo Vasconcelos managed to work through Prego's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gonçalo Vasconcelos dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Zé de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. After 80 minutes CORMERCIAL FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benjamin Corrêa who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Prego's Alex Chaves getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 83rd minute Leandro Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernani Berger took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fábio Lago. Luiz Fábio Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in CORMERCIAL FC's zone, Zé de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo de Queiroz came out of the goal and Zé de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fábio Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Vasconcelos in the 96th minute of play.
