The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Simão in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arí Cruz saved Bento Gonçalves Futebol from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Balalu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Marques came free, but Lúcio de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Penha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arí Cruz having to make a save. Rubens Marques hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Arí Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Arí Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balalu SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
