Spectators: 6100 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduardo Simão kicked off to start the match. Lúcio de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dieguinho Prestes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Jacare's Jeferson Cardozo got a free kick in the 6th minute. Lúcio de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélio Neto went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Hélio Neto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio de Moraes was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Lúcio de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Cardozo in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Hélio Neto made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio de Moraes. Balalu SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Jacare booed when Balalu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Jeferson Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Balalu SC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Rezende. 29 minutes into the game, one of Balalu SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Jacare getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Marcos Souza hit a great ball. Nestor Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Valdo Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Balalu SC booed when Jacare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélio Neto made a kick off. With a little luck, Balalu SC's Lúcio de Moraes got control of the ball when Jeferson Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Balalu SC's Nico Aparecido nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdo Perez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Hélio Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio de Moraes having to interfere. Jeferson Cardozo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Lúcio de Moraes made a huge save. In the 69th minute Hélio Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Jacare's Jeferson Cardozo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Lúcio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Cardozo in the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Jeferson Cardozo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lúcio de Moraes, 1-6. Lúcio de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Neto in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Nestor Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balalu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute Hélio Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lúcio de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Nestor Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Cardozo in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jacare had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
