Spectators: 6100 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Balalu SC's Eduardo Simão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Arcadia getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. João Schmidt hit a great ball. João Schmidt scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lúcio de Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Simão in the 12th minute of play forced Arcadia's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Osvaldinho Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Umberto dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute Magno Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nestor Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes in the game, Nestor Penha fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Osvaldinho Dantas having to interfere. Eduardo Simão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Osvaldinho Dantas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio de Moraes having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Balalu SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Schmidt came free, but Lúcio de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balalu SC's Lúcio de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus de Sena in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, João Schmidt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lúcio de Moraes. Balalu SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Schmidt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Eduardo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Dantas having to interfere. Lúcio de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus de Sena in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Schmidt made a kick off. Lúcio de Moraes made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Marcus de Sena sent off a good shot on target. After 57 minutes of play, Arcadia's Eliézer Pontes made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lúcio de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 60 played minutes Arcadia got a freekick which was hit by Marcus de Sena. In the 61stth minute of the game Nestor Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arcadia's Osvaldinho Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eduardo Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Paulo Donato hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Balalu SC's Lúcio de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Koehler in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Simão in the 73rd minute of play forced Arcadia's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Schmidt in the 77th minute of the match. Eduardo Simão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Dantas having to make a save. Balalu SC's Lúcio de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Balalu SC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Balalu SC booed when Arcadia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Eliézer Pontes took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Lúcio de Moraes to make any attempt to save it. Lúcio de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Schmidt in the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Balalu SC's goalkeeper Lúcio de Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliézer Pontes. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arcadia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
