Jacare's Jeferson Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Jacare getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Kléberson Rossi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Caveira's zone, Marcos Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Veiga came out of the goal and Marcos Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Meireles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valdo Perez. That made the score 3-2 in the 71 minute of play. Marcel Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Jacare's Orlando Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denílson Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hélio Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Veiga having to interfere. Denílson Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The supporters of Caveira booed when Jacare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdo Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Norberto Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Valdo Perez made a huge save. In the 88thth minute of the game Jeferson Cardozo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caveira's Denílson Veiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Caveira getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Luisinho Marques hit a great ball. Denílson Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Cardozo in the 94th minute of play. Jacare walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
