After a rather tough play, Hoggenheim's Olavo Antunes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 11 minutes, Gláuber Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoggenheim and the Cariry players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gláuber Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Gláuber Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Agostinho Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cariry getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Alexsandro Rosado hit a great ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Júlio Pena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hoggenheim's Rafael Favoretto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osvaldinho Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Rafael Favoretto made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Vieira in the 30th minute of play forced Cariry's goalkeeper Agostinho Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmílson Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Eduardo Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduardo Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cariry getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Eduardo Souto hit a great ball. After 47 minutes, Waldemar de Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cariry and the Hoggenheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Waldemar de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Gláuber Vieira made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Vale during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hoggenheim's Rafael Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Medeiros in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hoggenheim! In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Cariry. Chicão Hermes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rafael Favoretto. 1-0. Rafael Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 73rd minute Dé Barreto suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Waldemar de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Olavo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hoggenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olavo Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th match minute, Hoggenheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Vale to maneuver through the defense. Alexsandro Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Hoggenheim got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Vieira. After a defensive mix-up in Hoggenheim's zone, Osvaldinho Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Favoretto came out of the goal and Osvaldinho Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cariry had won after a very even match.
