Pedro Luís Teles's late challenge caught a Impávido Galcölosso EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luís Teles helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Uz Federais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Teles to maneuver through the defense. João Pedro Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when João Paulo Damião sent off a good shot on target. Lauro Vianna struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Doctor Sócrates didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uz Federais. 19 minutes into the match, Impávido Galcölosso EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Vianna came free, but Doctor Sócrates reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doctor Sócrates took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes, Erasmo Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Impávido Galcölosso EC and the Uz Federais players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Impávido Galcölosso EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Salles to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Lauro Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doctor Sócrates was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Beto Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Claudinho Cearense didn't quite understand what happened when in the 44 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After a defensive mix-up in Uz Federais's zone, Benê Tróia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pedro Fonseca came out of the goal and Benê Tróia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Arruda made a kick off. Lauro Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 minutes of play, Uz Federais's Lauro Vianna made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doctor Sócrates was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fausto Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Fonseca having to interfere. During the 66th minute of the match Pedro Luís Teles completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pedro Luís Teles a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Impávido Galcölosso EC booed when Uz Federais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Paulo Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Uz Federais's Erivaldo Galvão got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 85 played minutes Impávido Galcölosso EC got a freekick which was hit by Anderson do Valle. In the 86th minute, Zé Paulo Paraibano made a precise shot to the right of Doctor Sócrates. Impávido Galcölosso EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After having played for 92 minutes, Fausto Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Impávido Galcölosso EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Pedro Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Arruda in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Uz Federais's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Damião came free, but João Pedro Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
