Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Eduardo Prado started the match with the kick off. T. L. G. FL's Luís Eduardo Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Luís Paulo Furlan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Renato Camargo. Luís Paulo Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Renato Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reginaldo Ceresso did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Cristian Dantas 22 minutes into the match. Cristian Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reginaldo Ceresso in the 40th minute. Wanderson Félix hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henrique Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 2-3 became the score in the 54th minute when Luís Eduardo Prado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Luís Paulo Furlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renato Camargo. T. L. G. FL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Paulo Furlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 81st minute Luís Eduardo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Henrique Teixeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Renato Camargo. That made the score 2-5 in the 84 minute of play. Reginaldo Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo Castilla's goalkeeper Cristian Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Flamengo Castilla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flamengo Castilla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
