Cristian Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago de Moraes went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Flamengo Castilla's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Valle came free, but Cristian Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Flamengo Castilla's goal looked a bit too open when Benê Braga came free, but Cristian Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cipriano Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cristian Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Ribeiro, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Cristian Dantas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over DC UNITED FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Flamengo Castilla throughout the match.
