FL's Renato Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Salgado in the 4th minute of play. Horácio Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Renato Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poncianos's Acácio Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Acácio Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, T. L. G. FL's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson das Neves came free, but Renato Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the T. L. G. FL defense, Horácio Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renato Camargo. The T. L. G. FL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renato Camargo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Barros in the 22nd minute of play forced T. L. G. FL's goalkeeper Renato Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acácio Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Reginaldo Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Dieguinho Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poncianos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Acácio Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renato Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Renato Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Salgado in the 38th minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, Poncianos's Acácio Barros made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Camargo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The T. L. G. FL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Poncianos were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horácio Salgado to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Dieguinho Jacinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poncianos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave T. L. G. FL the free kick. T. L. G. FL's Eriberto Duarte couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Poncianos. Acácio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Renato Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio Salgado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Poncianos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 67 minutes into the match, Acácio Barros notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of T. L. G. FL's Renato Camargo. Renato Camargo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Renato Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Salgado's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 80th minute, Horácio Salgado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Renato Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Salgado in the 80th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Gustavo Souto during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luiz Gustavo Souto hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Acácio Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Camargo having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Acácio Barros lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Renato Camargo. If Horácio Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. T. L. G. FL's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Horácio Salgado 95 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Poncianos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
