Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Impávido Galcölosso EC's Fausto Arruda started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes T. L. G. FL got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Fernandez. A long shot from Anderson do Valle in the 4th minute of play was well struck, but Renato Camargo made a really good save at the right post. 6 minutes into the match, T. L. G. FL's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Arruda came free, but Renato Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Impávido Galcölosso EC's João Paulo Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th match minute, Impávido Galcölosso EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson do Valle to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match Eriberto Duarte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doctor Sócrates showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Renato Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If João Paulo Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Eduardo Prado scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doctor Sócrates, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Eduardo Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Doctor Sócrates tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doctor Sócrates having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Eduardo Prado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in T. L. G. FL's zone, João Paulo Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renato Camargo came out of the goal and João Paulo Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, João Paulo Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renato Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Fausto Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Renato Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luís Eduardo Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of T. L. G. FL booed when Impávido Galcölosso EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginaldo Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luís Eduardo Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Doctor Sócrates managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when T. L. G. FL's Reginaldo Ceresso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fábio Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Luís Eduardo Prado struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Doctor Sócrates didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for T. L. G. FL. 83 minutes into the match, Fausto Arruda notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of T. L. G. FL's Renato Camargo. Renato Camargo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. João Paulo Damião struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Renato Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Impávido Galcölosso EC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Arruda in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renato Camargo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Impávido Galcölosso EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
