Durval Teixeira's late challenge caught a Tupitinga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durval Teixeira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tupitinga FC booed when Jatei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldo Botelho during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tupitinga FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Osvaldo Botelho hit a great ball. Joélson Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Eger having to interfere. João Vítor Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joélson Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Raúl Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Durval Teixeira was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. If Doriva Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joélson Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Ortiz having to interfere. Doriva Matorin struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Aloísio Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tupitinga FC. After a rather tough play, Tupitinga FC's Franklin Secco got a free kick in the 48th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Jatei's Humberto Andrade tried to score from far away in the 49th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doriva Matorin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Joélson Branco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raúl Eger. Tupitinga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joélson Branco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Doriva Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Tupitinga FC fans jumped to their feet. A hard, long distance shot from Luiz Fabiano Marquez flew over the goal. In the 68th minute, Osvaldo Botelho made a precise shot to the right of Aloísio Ortiz. Jatei's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When João Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jatei's protests and gave João Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. Joélson Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Eger having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, João Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúl Eger made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Joélson Branco sent off a good shot on target. Jatei's Joélson Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Joélson Branco notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tupitinga FC's Raúl Eger. Raúl Eger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joélson Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. When Zé Carlos Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Jatei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Freitas couldn't finish the play.
