Lunáticos Clube's Romeu Guedes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 60th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 67th minute Douglas Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perivaldo Tróia's late challenge caught a Lunáticos Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perivaldo Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, MENGAO 99's Perivaldo Tróia got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Zé Paulo Severo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lunáticos Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Severo couldn't finish the play. MENGAO 99's Isidoro Clemencin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save MENGAO 99 from getting a goal against them. If Romeu Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The MENGAO 99 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lunáticos Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
