After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ricardo Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Everest FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúl Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everest FC's Pedrão Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Matorin in the 41st minute of play. Doriva Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Pedrão Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ricardo Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doriva Matorin to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Everest FC's Raúl Eger threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leandro Saldanha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Franklin Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Everest FC's Ricardo Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dênis Machado came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Everest FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Machado couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Everest FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tupitinga FC.
