Carlos Eduardo Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunáticos Clube. In the 27th match minute, Matuapira SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Lopes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Lunáticos Clube's Zé Paulo Severo got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Matuapira SS booed when Lunáticos Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Trancoso made a huge save. A hard shot 41 in the game by Romeu Guedes from a close distance when the talented Carlos Eduardo Trancoso managed to make a qualified save. Matuapira SS's players were relieved. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeu Guedes to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Amadeu Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunáticos Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Eduardo Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Matuapira SS defense, Romeu Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Eduardo Trancoso. The Matuapira SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Eduardo Trancoso should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu Guedes in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Eduardo Trancoso saved Matuapira SS from getting behind. When Lunáticos Clube's Romeu Guedes in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matuapira SS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 88thth minute of the game Romeu Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matuapira SS's Carlos Eduardo Trancoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Eduardo Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Guedes in the 91st minute of the match. Zé Paulo Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Eduardo Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Guedes in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lunáticos Clube fully deserved thier win.
