In the 13th minute Fonseca FC were awarded a corner. Geovânio Linhares went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Fonseca FC's Wellington Miranda got control of the ball when Germano Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldemar Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Geovânio Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Waldemar Coelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd match minute, Fonseca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Koehler to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Wellington Miranda managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Beco's Eduardo Cosme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 26th minute of the match, Horácio Guimarães tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wellington Miranda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Fonseca FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Remo Xavier hit a great ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beco's goalkeeper Waldemar Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Nilton Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Fonseca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Cosme took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wellington Miranda. Wellington Miranda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horácio Guimarães made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Lucas in the 55th minute of play forced Fonseca FC's goalkeeper Wellington Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Diamantino Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Prado, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Reynaldo Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Beco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Veloso couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the game, Beco's Eduardo Cosme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wellington Miranda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 75th minute Reynaldo Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remo Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fonseca FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Remo Xavier hit a great ball. Wellington Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Guimarães in the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Fonseca FC got a freekick which was hit by Remo Xavier. After some careless play in the Fonseca FC defense, Horácio Guimarães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Miranda. The Fonseca FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Miranda should have stopped the shot. Beco walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
