Canela de Vidro's Moisés Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Valle in the 18th minute of play. Moisés Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Alcântara in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Campestre booed when Canela de Vidro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sidney Gonçalves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carlinhos Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Netto having to interfere. A collision led to Canela de Vidro getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Breno Silveira hit a great ball. Chico Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Campestre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chico Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Campestre booed when Canela de Vidro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moisés Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Canela de Vidro booed when Campestre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acácio da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldinho da Rocha hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Osvaldinho da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeu Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moisés Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Alcântara in the 54th minute of play forced Canela de Vidro's goalkeeper Moisés Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carlinhos Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvaldo de Brito during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Canela de Vidro got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo de Brito. 61 minutes into the match, Campestre's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio da Silva came free, but Nando Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeu Valle got free with Moisés Netto in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chico Rodrigues hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Sidney Gonçalves, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Canela de Vidro's Chico Rodrigues got a free kick in the 77th minute. Tadeu Valle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Moisés Netto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Waldemar Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waldemar Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nando Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Carlinhos Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Moisés Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Acácio da Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nando Zonta having to make a save. Campestre were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
