Beco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Guardians the free kick. But to his dismay, Tomás de Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Guardians's zone, Germano Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Moraes came out of the goal and Germano Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Moraes having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Juan Dante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Guardians and the Beco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Rio Guardians got a freekick which was hit by Juan Dante. If Tomás de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes, Beco's Jean Duarte shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Paulo Moraes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Beco reached it. In the 71st minute, Ronaldo Garcia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldemar Coelho. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
