The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Wanderson Brito fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dayoub FC's protests and gave Wanderson Brito a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dayoub FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Wanderson Brito hit a great ball. Eliézer Damião struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Benjamin Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estrela Vermelha Paulista. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Cristóvão Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrela Vermelha Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Dayoub FC booed when Estrela Vermelha Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes Estrela Vermelha Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Miranda. When Eliézer Damião came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Estrela Vermelha Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliézer Damião couldn't finish the play. When Dayoub FC's Marcel Mota in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 27th minute, Marcel Mota left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dayoub FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliézer Damião got free with Benjamin Eger in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the game, Dayoub FC's Marcel Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duda Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Dayoub FC's Vitinho Varela got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Eliézer Damião fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adalberto Trigo was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Alberto Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Damião in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Falcão Miranda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Eger. Dayoub FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Falcão Miranda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Falcão Miranda in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Eger saved Dayoub FC from getting behind. Estrela Vermelha Paulista's Duda Lago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Estrela Vermelha Paulista from getting a goal against them. Benjamin Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristóvão Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Estrela Vermelha Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Vidal couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Eliézer Damião left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estrela Vermelha Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Secco in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Eger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estrela Vermelha Paulista fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! When Estrela Vermelha Paulista's Eliézer Damião in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dayoub FC's goalie prevented a goal. Falcão Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Eger having to interfere. Benjamin Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 88 minutes of play, Dayoub FC's Marcel Mota made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duda Lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dayoub FC's Benjamin Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Rosa in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Hortêncio Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrela Vermelha Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Falcão Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Benjamin Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dayoub FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Estrela Vermelha Paulista's much stronger midfield.
