Benjamin Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, Dayoub FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Lira came free, but Benjamin Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dayoub FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benjamin Eger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dedê Reis's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. David Negri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Mota in the 13th minute. If Dedê Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Augusto Lira in the 16th minute of play. Denílson Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Eger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. David Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. One of Dayoub FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cartoleiro FC:s goal. 46 minutes into the match, Dayoub FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Reis came free, but Benjamin Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wanderson Brito hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when João Augusto Lira made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dayoub FC's zone, João Augusto Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Eger came out of the goal and João Augusto Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Dayoub FC defense, Dedê Reis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Eger. The Dayoub FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Eger should have stopped the shot. When Jacinto Santana fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cartoleiro FC's protests and gave Jacinto Santana a yellow card for diving instead. Jacinto Santana hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. David Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Mota in the 67th minute of play. Cartoleiro FC's João Augusto Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Denílson Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dayoub FC's Benjamin Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Dayoub FC from getting a goal against them. Cartoleiro FC's attentive Alexandre Leite managed to snatch the ball when Wanderson Brito made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. Denílson Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Eger having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Dedê Reis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Dedê Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dayoub FC booed when Cartoleiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieguinho Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Trigo in the 95th minute of the match. When Dedê Reis came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Cartoleiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Reis couldn't finish the play. Cartoleiro FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
