The crowd rose to their feet as Marcel Mota kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dida Pombal. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Dida Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Trigo in the 11th minute of play. Dayoub FC's Benjamin Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Furlan in the 12th minute of play. Orlando Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Eger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. The nice shot from Marcel Mota in the 21stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Dida Pombal had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Trigo in the 23rd minute of play forced Capeta FC's goalkeeper Dida Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Dayoub FC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado de Salles. 29 minutes into the match, Dayoub FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Lucas came free, but Benjamin Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juarês Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalberto Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Mazinho Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capeta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dayoub FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Capeta FC's Mazinho Guerra got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Dayoub FC's Mauro Sabóia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Marcel Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Capeta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Trigo came free, but Dida Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adalberto Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Dayoub FC's Adalberto Trigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Adalberto Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dayoub FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Trigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Pombal having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Marcel Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dayoub FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juarês Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafinha Ortiz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Orlando Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dida Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 88th minute Adalberto Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Dayoub FC's Benjamin Eger got control of the ball when Juarês Furlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dayoub FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
