When Romário Britto fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Covas FC's protests and gave Romário Britto a yellow card for diving instead. Romário Britto hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the game, Jairo Paraíba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Váldson Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the game, Muricizal EC's Jardel Mangueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Váldson Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Covas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Váldson Neto had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Adriano Linhares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Váldson Neto came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Muricizal EC's Jairo Paraíba. But to his dismay, Jairo Paraíba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 35 minutes into the match, Covas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Mangueira came free, but Váldson Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Covas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Paraíba came free, but Váldson Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Váldson Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Couto hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Jairo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Jairo Paraíba fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Váldson Neto, passed just outside the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Jairo Paraíba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Váldson Neto. That made the score 0-5 in the 91 minute of play. Jardel Mangueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Váldson Neto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Muricizal EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
