Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Estrela Vermelha Paulista defense, Juarês Furlan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duda Lago. The Estrela Vermelha Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duda Lago should have stopped the shot. Eliézer Damião received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dida Pombal came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliézer Damião slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Falcão Miranda dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dida Pombal, 2-1. In the 18th minute, Estrela Vermelha Paulista's Carlos Alberto Secco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 23 minutes into the match, Estrela Vermelha Paulista's Eliézer Damião sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Capeta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Secco came free, but Dida Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estrela Vermelha Paulista's Duda Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Lucas in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Capeta FC's zone, Falcão Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida Pombal came out of the goal and Falcão Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliézer Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Pombal having to interfere. Estrela Vermelha Paulista's Flávio Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dida Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Falcão Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrela Vermelha Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliézer Damião in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dida Pombal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dida Pombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliézer Damião in the 45th minute. Dida Pombal was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Cristóvão Vidal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristóvão Vidal really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Secco to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Falcão Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Pombal was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Falcão Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dida Pombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falcão Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, one of Capeta FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Capeta FC. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Estrela Vermelha Paulista. Jeferson de Sousa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dida Pombal. 5-1. Dida Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Eliézer Damião put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dida Pombal. If Carlos Alberto Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Capeta FC's Dida Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Vidal in the 72nd minute of play. In the 81st minute, Falcão Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flávio Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dida Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Jeferson de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Flávio Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Estrela Vermelha Paulista were furious when Hortêncio Salgado was red carded, 97 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The goalkeeper, Duda Lago, was totally fooled by Capeta FC's Cristiano Rosa, who 99 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Estrela Vermelha Paulista had played much better football throughout.
