Edgar Alves's late challenge caught a Hard Rock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Alves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, one of Campinense F Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Campinense F Clube. In the 23rd minute Conrado Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Paulo Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Conrado Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Brito having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Brito was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Conrado Reis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Conrado Reis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Luiz Paulo Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Elói Vale sped through Hard Rock's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Paulo Brito. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delfim Ferreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Campinense F Clube's zone, Jairo Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Seco came out of the goal and Jairo Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Campinense F Clube's Conrado Reis in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luiz Paulo Brito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 73 minutes, Dalmo Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Campinense F Clube and the Hard Rock players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Campinense F Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Barreto to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the match Edgar Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Paulo Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Elói Vale sped through Hard Rock's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Paulo Brito. In the 94th minute Conrado Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
