After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evandro Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Mané Esteves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 52nd playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Godoi in the 75th minute of play forced Hard Rock's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geada SS were furious when Horácio da Silveira was red carded, 82 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Leandro Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Luiz Paulo Brito made a huge save. After having played for 96 minutes, Delfim Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hard Rock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hard Rock booed when Geada SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Francisco Massa missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 99 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Miguel Pernambucano right hand side. Geada SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
