After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Edgar Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garibaldi RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Garibaldi RS booed when Noturno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garibaldi RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
