Luiz Paulo Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Duarte went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Hard Rock's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Vargas came free, but Luiz Paulo Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Paulo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Vargas in the 20th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Brito made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Matheus Faria sent off a good shot on target. Hard Rock's Luiz Paulo Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Vargas in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Garibaldi RS's Edgar Vargas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Paulo Brito. Luiz Paulo Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Luiz Paulo Brito was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Matheus Faria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matheus Faria really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Matheus Faria took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Paulo Brito. Luiz Paulo Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Luiz Paulo Brito made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Matheus Faria sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Faria in the 42nd minute of play forced Hard Rock's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Hard Rock defense, Alberto das Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Paulo Brito. The Hard Rock fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Paulo Brito should have stopped the shot. 48 minutes into the match, Hard Rock's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Duarte. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Wellington Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Matheus Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Paulo Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Duarte in the 60th minute of the match. Hard Rock's Luiz Paulo Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Vargas in the 61st minute of play. Matheus Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, Alberto das Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Paulo Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 69th minute Alberto das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Paulo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto das Neves in the 70th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Paulo Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Faria in the 74th minute of the match. Hard Rock's Luiz Paulo Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Vargas in the 75th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus Faria in the 76th minute of the match. Luiz Paulo Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Garibaldi RS's Edgar Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Paulo Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Luiz Paulo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Vargas in the 83rd minute of play. Edgar Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Brito having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Faria in the 88th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Paulo Brito was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When Jeremias Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hard Rock's protests and gave Jeremias Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, one of Hard Rock:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hard Rock. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Garibaldi RS. Enio da Rocha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luiz Paulo Brito. 9-0. 99 minutes into the match, Hard Rock's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Vargas came free, but Luiz Paulo Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Garibaldi RS had played much better football throughout.
