Luiz Paulo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Sá in the 79th minute of play. A hard shot by João Francisco Massa from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Adalberto Hermes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 85th minute, Zé Paulo Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the game, Delfim Ferreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adalberto Hermes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Delfim Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Delfim Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Hard Rock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Delfim Ferreira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adalberto Hermes came out and tried to block the shot, but Delfim Ferreira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hard Rock eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
