The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adalberto Barbosa during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Hard Rock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Vale to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Hard Rock booed when Noturno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delfim Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Chaves having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Delfim Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hard Rock's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jairo Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Hard Rock left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Noturno FC.
