The long shot by Luisinho Paraíba in the 38th minute really tested Conrado Luz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Wesley Faria hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Egídio Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Zé Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Contenda-Pr. When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, Contenda-Pr's Diego Cunha got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Zé Mendonça. In the 85th minute, Egídio Favoretto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelson França charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson França the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice moves Egídio Favoretto could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Zé Mendonça however easily saved by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Contenda-Pr had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
