An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Mota in the 21st minute of play forced All Castilha's goalkeeper Cássio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nico de Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico de Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Piau AD getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Nico de Sousa hit a great ball. The supporters of Piau AD booed when All Castilha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerson Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Furlan in the 38th minute of the match. Cássio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Mota in the 41st minute of play. If Jailson Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Piau AD's Raúl de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Raúl de Toledo took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Cássio Lara to make any attempt to save it. Nico de Sousa was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 62nd match minute, Piau AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl de Toledo in the 65th minute of play forced All Castilha's goalkeeper Cássio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, All Castilha's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl de Toledo came free, but Cássio Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dadá Mota blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cássio Lara having to make a save. With a little luck, All Castilha's Cássio Lara got control of the ball when Raúl de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 88 minutes, Juvenal Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piau AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Raúl de Toledo notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of All Castilha's Cássio Lara. Cássio Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juvenal Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Lara having to interfere.
