The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Cafu Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lupercio SC's Anselmo Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 5 played minutes Contenda-Pr got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Albuquerque. Cafu Amorim hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Anselmo Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Donato Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Conrado Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lupercio SC. 22 minutes into the match, Lupercio SC's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Favoretto came free, but Anselmo Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Amorim in the 25th minute of play forced Lupercio SC's goalkeeper Anselmo Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Contenda-Pr's Egídio Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Contenda-Pr's zone, Donato Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Luz came out of the goal and Donato Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Contenda-Pr's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Alagoano came free, but Conrado Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Conrado Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cauan Trevisan in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Donato Alagoano made a precise shot to the right of Conrado Luz. Contenda-Pr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lupercio SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Contenda-Pr had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
