Cachorrada's Horácio Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amauri Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Amorim in the 19th minute of play. When Cachorrada's Pedro Arantes in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Contenda-Pr's Conrado Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Arantes in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Cachorrada's Pedro Arantes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Luz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Egídio Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Edgar Mangueira hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Cachorrada's Dênis Tande broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 60 minutes of play, Cachorrada's Pedro Arantes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conrado Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Arce in the 67th minute of play forced Contenda-Pr's goalkeeper Conrado Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Contenda-Pr's Conrado Luz got control of the ball when Jairo de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Contenda-Pr's goalkeeper Conrado Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Clóvis Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jairo de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute.
