Valdomiro de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Passos in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hortêncio Mineiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Manicobal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! The supporters of All Castilha booed when Manicobal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. All Castilha's Cássio Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Mineiro in the 64th minute of play. The Manicobal fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Manicobal's Hortêncio Mineiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Júlio Gonçalves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valdomiro de Castro. That made the score 2-2 in the 71 minute of play. Cássio Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 played minutes Manicobal got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Mineiro. Cássio Lara came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Manicobal's Hortêncio Mineiro. But to his dismay, Hortêncio Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 94th minute, Hortêncio Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdomiro de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Furlan in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Manicobal fans cheered their team off the field, for while All Castilha had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
