Spectators: 6653 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 0) Luisinho Paraíba started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4thth minute of the game Luisinho Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fabrica's Kléber Veloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Paraíba in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kléber Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudinei Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Fabrica's Kléber Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Paraíba in the 11th minute of play. Tiaguinho Munhoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kléber Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Tiaguinho Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barragem's Tiaguinho Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Luisinho Paraíba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kléber Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 32 minutes, Luisinho Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barragem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisinho Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 35 played minutes Barragem got a freekick which was hit by Nelson França. After 38 minutes Barragem's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lúcio Senna who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Paraíba in the 41st minute of play forced Fabrica's goalkeeper Kléber Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Barragem's goalkeeper Zé Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olavo Salles. Zé Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Antunes in the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Joaquim Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabrica's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Olavo Salles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Mendonça was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the match, Barragem's goal looked a bit too open when Silvinho Mello came free, but Zé Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Joaquim Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrica's Kléber Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Fabrica from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Fabrica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barragem:s goal. In the 79th minute, Silvinho Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barragem's Tiaguinho Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiaguinho Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Kléber Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barragem. In the 90th minute Olavo Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
