An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Lara in the 10th minute of play forced Sagui MZ's goalkeeper Amauri das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Amauri das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mané Santana came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Zinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Santana couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Lara got in the 14th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Amauri das Neves handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Sagui MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Vargas to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes Zinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Proença. Mané Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri das Neves having to interfere. A collision led to Sagui MZ getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Raimundo Leão hit a great ball. Sagui MZ's Amauri das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Lara in the 24th minute of play. Narciso Soares's late challenge caught a Zinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Soares helped the player get up and apologised. Amauri das Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Alessandro Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Zinho FC's Amauri das Neves threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gustavo Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 40th minute, Mané Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Raimundo Leão fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagui MZ's protests and gave Raimundo Leão a yellow card for diving instead. Raimundo Leão hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Duarte Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zinho FC's protests and gave Duarte Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, one of Zinho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zinho FC. Gustavo Lara struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Amauri das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zinho FC. 61 minutes into the match, Alessandro Proença notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sagui MZ's Amauri das Neves. Amauri das Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Zinho FC's Alessandro Proença got a free kick in the 64th minute. Gustavo Lara succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. Alessandro Proença blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amauri das Neves having to make a save. Gustavo Lara took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amauri das Neves. Amauri das Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. If Gustavo Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 87 minutes into the match, Sagui MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Lara came free, but Amauri das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zinho FC's Osvaldo Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
