Ibaretama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chelsea the free kick. Ibaretama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chelsea's Artur Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Augusto Matos took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Garcia. Ramiro Garcia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Vinhas in the 31st minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Fabrício Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Severo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Severo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leopoldo Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Leopoldo Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Ibaretama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chelsea throughout the match.
