Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ibaretama's Ramiro Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gláuber Proença in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Guilherme Vinhas in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Pinheiro saved Torcedores do Joinville from getting behind. 12 minutes into the game, Ibaretama's Leopoldo Severo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vicente Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 18th minute Luiz Guilherme Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Ibaretama got a corner. Torcedores do Joinville's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mané Cardoso ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mané Cardoso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vicente Pinheiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Torcedores do Joinville getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Váldson Valadares hit a great ball. Vicente Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Guilherme Vinhas's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Leopoldo Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Ibaretama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Ibaretama's goalkeeper Ramiro Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Váldson Valadares. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Severo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Pinheiro was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The attack was good, but when Luiz Guilherme Vinhas in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 40th minute, Leopoldo Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Guilherme Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luiz Guilherme Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ibaretama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Guilherme Vinhas couldn't finish the play. After 46 played minutes Torcedores do Joinville got a freekick which was hit by Victor Paraíba. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Leopoldo Severos short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Vicente Pinheiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 57th minute, Luiz Guilherme Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopoldo Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Vicente Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Torcedores do Joinville's zone, Luiz Guilherme Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Pinheiro came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Leopoldo Severo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ibaretama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Severo couldn't finish the play. Vicente Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Vinhas in the 90th minute of the match. Ibaretama's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
