When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Otávio de Salles put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gilvan Campidelis. Orlando Mumbach in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robinho Hermes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Gláuber Urbano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Orlando Mumbach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Robinho Hermes made a huge save. In the 33rd minute, Márcio Neves made a precise shot to the right of Gilvan Campidelis. Campeche Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. SE Mauá's Márcio Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilvan Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th match minute, SE Mauá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto da Costa to maneuver through the defense. José Paulo Abreu hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A collision led to SE Mauá getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Celso Duarte hit a great ball. SE Mauá's Robinho Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save SE Mauá from getting a goal against them. Cafu Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cafu Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes SE Mauá got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Magalhães. Orlando Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Orlando Mumbach came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Campeche Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Mumbach couldn't finish the play. Celso Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Leonardo de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Hermes having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Celso Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Hortêncio Paiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robinho Hermes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to SE Mauá getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Márcio Neves hit a great ball. Orlando Mumbach struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Robinho Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campeche Futbol Club. 67 minutes into the match, Campeche Futbol Club's goalkeeper Gilvan Campidelis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Márcio Neves. When Osvaldo do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campeche Futbol Club's protests and gave Osvaldo do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Leonardo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan Campidelis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Otávio de Salles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. Flávio Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Cafu Magalhães got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gilvan Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When SE Mauá's Otávio de Salles in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Campeche Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. Orlando Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robinho Hermes came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Campeche Futbol Club's Orlando Mumbach. But to his dismay, Orlando Mumbach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Orlando Mumbach put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Robinho Hermes. The supporters of SE Mauá booed when Campeche Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball.
