Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Júlio Matos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar Tasso to maneuver through the defense. Attilio Berardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrianinho Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Dráusio Vargas struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Adrianinho Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibiam. After having played for 12 minutes, Álvaro da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibiam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Attilio Berardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibiam fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Ibiam's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Guerra came free, but Fernan Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernan Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Tasso in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Matos in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernan Rodriguez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Racing Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Dráusio Vargas scored to the left of an out of position Adrianinho Maia, making the score, 2-0. 35 minutes into the game, David Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibiam the free kick. Attilio Berardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernan Rodriguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Guerra in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Adrianinho Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Ibiam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Valadares to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

David Antunes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Júlio Matos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Attilio Berardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Álvaro da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Maia having to interfere. If Attilio Berardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64thth minute of the game Attilio Berardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Adrianinho Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dráusio Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Vargas in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ibiam's Fernan Rodriguez got control of the ball when Osmar Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernan Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Attilio Berardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrianinho Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro da Silveira during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Álvaro da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Edmundo Reis in the 78th minute really tested Fernan Rodriguez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. David Antunes hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Osmar Tasso. In the 85th minute, Attilio Berardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrianinho Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 90th minute, Attilio Berardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernan Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Álvaro da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Adrianinho Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibiam's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
