Rubinho Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Didi Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Pedro Tróia. SE Jundiaí's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Didi Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 15 minutes, Robinho de Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS F.C and the SE Jundiaí players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Robinho de Amorim. Juan Leme struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. João Pedro Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SANTOS F.C. 23 minutes into the match, SE Jundiaí's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Baiano came free, but João Pedro Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SANTOS F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oséias Leão in the 25th minute. It was a well-played corner which Robinho de Amorim managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 35 minutes, Bernardo Simão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS F.C and the SE Jundiaí players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Didi Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pedro Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, SE Jundiaí's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Baiano came free, but João Pedro Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arthur Valle fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANTOS F.C's protests and gave Arthur Valle a yellow card for diving instead. 44 minutes into the game, one of SANTOS F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Frank Cavalcante went to the wrong direction when Mário Paiva was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

SANTOS F.C's Didi Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio de Queiroz in the 53rd minute of play forced SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Frank Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acácio de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cavalcante having to interfere. After 58 played minutes SE Jundiaí got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Campidelis. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexsandro Branco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Pedro Tróia. That made the score 1-2 in the 60 minute of play. Juan Leme might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Pedro Tróia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Leme ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute Juan Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robinho de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. João Pedro Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Didi Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Tróia having to interfere. Rubinho Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. João Pedro Tróia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SANTOS F.C's Didi Baiano shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Oséias Leão hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. João Pedro Tróia made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Didi Baiano sent off a good shot on target. The SANTOS F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SANTOS F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
