The supporters of South Hofler C.E booed when SANTOS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toninho Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cavalcante having to interfere. SANTOS F.C's Juan Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Gerson Breckenfeld fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Hofler C.E's protests and gave Gerson Breckenfeld a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SANTOS F.C booed when South Hofler C.E was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerson Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Oséias Leão in the 14th minute really tested Dorian Loureiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Dorian Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Leme in the 16th minute of the match. Dorian Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Baiano in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, South Hofler C.E's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Leme came free, but Dorian Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, South Hofler C.E was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. South Hofler C.E's Dorian Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Leme in the 24th minute of play. When Alexsandro Branco fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANTOS F.C's protests and gave Alexsandro Branco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute of the match Ronaldinho Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Cavalcante showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Robinho de Amorim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Dorian Loureiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ronaldinho Vale took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frank Cavalcante. SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Didi Baiano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of South Hofler C.E's Dorian Loureiro. Dorian Loureiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in South Hofler C.E's zone, Didi Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorian Loureiro came out of the goal and Didi Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th match minute, South Hofler C.E was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match Oséias Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorian Loureiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frank Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Novaes in the 64th minute of play. After 65 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Juan Leme. Toninho Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Frank Cavalcante made a huge save. Didi Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Juan Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oséias Leão, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Frank Cavalcante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dorian Loureiro came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by SANTOS F.C's Didi Baiano. But to his dismay, Didi Baiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for South Hofler C.E! Toninho Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cavalcante having to interfere. SANTOS F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
