Júlio Tande ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 15 minutes, Claudinei Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraná SUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Chaime showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Wilton de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Paraná SUL fans jumped to their feet. After a rather tough play, Paraná SUL's Afonso Esteves got a free kick in the 68th minute. Thomás Tavares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Tales Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Claudinei Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilton de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Chaime having to interfere. Thomás Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tales Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Cernea in the 90th minute of play forced Paraná SUL's goalkeeper Tales Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
