Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) The SANTOS F.C fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when SANTOS F.C's Juan Leme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10thth minute of the game Juan Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Companhia's Josué Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséias Leão during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, Oséias Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josué Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho de Amorim in the 22nd minute of play. Didi Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Josué Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aírton Arantes hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Alexsandro Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frank Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hílton Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Didi Baiano struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Josué Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SANTOS F.C. After a rather tough play, Companhia's Dalmo Marques got a free kick in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Robinho de Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANTOS F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Companhia the free kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hílton Melo was the one to do the kick off. Didi Baiano struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Josué Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SANTOS F.C. Josué Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Didi Baiano came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Josué Jacinto could save by the left post. Cacá Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cavalcante having to interfere. SANTOS F.C's Frank Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Melo in the 69th minute of play. Cacá Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Didi Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Companhia's goalkeeper Josué Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Didi Baiano. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Companhia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oséias Leão was slow to take the kick. During this time SANTOS F.C's players had a chance to rest. In the 83rd minute, Juan Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aírton Arantes during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes Companhia got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Marques. In the 96th minute, Companhia's Nicolas Salles seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicolas Salles the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Companhia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicolas Salles had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Oséias Leão placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! SANTOS F.C were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Companhia to leave the ground with a draw.
