The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio de Moraes got free with Basílio Valadares in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, AMERICA JUNIORS F.C. - MT's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Acácio de Moraes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 44 minutes into the match, Luiz Fábio de Queiroz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basílio Valadares, 2-1.

The wind increased when Luiz Fábio de Queiroz made the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Acácio de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Luiz Fábio de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
