Warnow FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perrexil SS the free kick. After 29 played minutes Warnow FC got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo da Rocha. After having played for 39 minutes, Jefferson Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perrexil SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute, Bruninho dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediberto Reis made a kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Jeremias Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perrexil SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jefferson Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilton Leme during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Perrexil SS booed when Warnow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perrexil SS's Delfim Tasso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Warnow FC. Jefferson Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perrexil SS's Carlos Alberto Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Quadros in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto Reis in the 88th minute of play forced Perrexil SS's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualter Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualter Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Alberto Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Warnow FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
