The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonel Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Inajá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Tróia came free, but Otávio Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otávio Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonel Tróia's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Reginaldo Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo Marquez in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otávio Soares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Marquez in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otávio Soares saved Inajá FC from getting behind. Leonel Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Ivo Marquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otávio Soares. Inajá FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivo Marquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 37th minute, Reginaldo Galvão fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Clemente Faria, passed just outside the right post. Benê Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Ivo Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Reginaldo Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Virtus Pro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivo Marquez to make the kick off. Otávio Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Inajá FC's goalkeeper Otávio Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Tróia. In the 61st minute of the match, Ivo Marquez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Otávio Soares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Eduardo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Reginaldo Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joélson Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Faria having to interfere. If Reginaldo Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Inajá FC were awarded a corner. Ciro Meireles went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Virtus Pro's goalie and right to Joélson Arruda. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Virtus Pro's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Reginaldo Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Faria having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Virtus Pro were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Inajá FC side.
