Amadeu Mattos's late challenge caught a Maquinaria Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Perrexil SS got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Mattos. Amauri de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Toledo having to interfere. Carlos Alberto Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Vides in the 40th minute of the match.
