In the 11th minute, Rubens de Medeiros sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Maragipinho's Christiano Queiroz didn't even have to move. Marcus Simãos short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Edvaldo Faria to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 17th minute, Marcus Simão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvaldo Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Edvaldo Faria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcus Simão in the 24th minute. Wilton Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilton Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Warnow FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Leme. Marcus Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Edvaldo Faria made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Maragipinho's Jonas Silveira got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Dedê de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christiano Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Reis in the 36th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Gualter Quadros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Warnow FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediberto Reis made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Warnow FC's zone, Geovânio Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Faria came out of the goal and Geovânio Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute Wilton Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marcus Simão came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Maragipinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Simão couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute Reginaldo da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Reis in the 73rd minute of the match. Marcus Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Edvaldo Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
