The supporters of Aquidauananese booed when UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Urko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Jorginho Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Bittencourt made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Vivaldo Batista sent off a good shot on target. Flávio Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Jorginho Campidelis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Flávio Bittencourt. The goal made the score 1-0. When UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's Enzo Avesani in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Enzo Avesani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The throw-in from Waldemar Pinho in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's Júnior Guerra.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vivaldo Batista was the one to do the kick off. Eleuterio Urko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Waldemar Pinho in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's Eleuterio Urko. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Avesani in the 64th minute of play forced Aquidauananese's goalkeeper Robinho Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's attentive Eleuterio Urko managed to snatch the ball when Waldemar Pinho made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. In the 67th minute, Jorginho Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júnior Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Vivaldo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Hoffmann in the 76th minute of play forced UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's goalkeeper Flávio Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Batista in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Jorginho Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorginho Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robinho Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Avesani in the 87th minute of play. With a little luck, Aquidauananese's Robinho Cruz got control of the ball when Júnior Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Enzo Avesani came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Avesani couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the game, Aquidauananese's Vivaldo Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flávio Bittencourt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. UNIDOS DA PRAIA GRANDE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
